Alyan Family Wines

There’s something really special about Alyan Family Wines — and it’s not just the wine (though that’s definitely a big part of it).

Located in Valle del Maipú in Chile, this place is the house of amazing winemakers. It all started with Álvaro and Angela, a couple who’ve been making wine and welcoming guests for years. What they’ve created isn’t just a vineyard. It’s a place full of heart, history and good people, and they absolutely have impacted our lives with this experience.

Their wine lineup has something for everyone, bold Carménères, smooth Cabernets, some beautiful blends, and a few limited-edition gems that are worth hunting down.

Alyan isn’t about mass production or flashy labels. They focus on doing things right — small batches, hand-picked grapes from their own vineyards, and a lot of care poured into every bottle.

I think this is the right moment to talk about Álvaro. This man is on a mission. After some research about the current drop of wine sales all over the world, he and his partners found out that people aren’t drinking wine as much. This phenomenon has a sad outcome : People are not sitting around the table to have a meal anymore.  So, now he is calling all of us to action: “reach out to your friends and family. Sit around the table, have a nice meal, drink wine (or not) and simply talk to each other”. His words had a long-lasting effect on us. What a day, I would say.

But if there’s one thing that really stayed with us, it’s the sunset wine tasting. Picture this: the sun slowly dipping behind the hills, painting the sky in orange and red. You’re on a terrace, surrounded by vineyards, meeting people from all over the world. You taste the best of Alyan’s wines. Soft music plays in the background and there is the scent of earth in the air. The hosts bring out perfectly paired bites, share stories about the land and the wines; somehow, time just slows down. It’s peaceful, warm, and completely unforgettable.

You don’t need to be a wine expert to enjoy it, either. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or someone who just wants to enjoy a glass of wine at the end of a long travel day. Alyan makes you feel welcome, almost like being at a friend's home.

So if you ever find yourself in Chile, make the trip. Come for the wine, stay for the sunset, and leave with a little piece of the valley in your heart.
